Hope those who celebrate had a good Christmas! I myself got these glorious earmuffs which had me making another moodboard this morning (RIP, teen witch for fall).
I'm thinking Valley of the Dolls and 60's and a cheesy 90's/early '00s (specific!) school supplies interpretation of flower power.

'90s are so funny...I can't believe I'm that old!!!
ahh, reminds me of my childhood everything-staple, LISA FRANK!!!!!

rainbow unicorns and puppies and flowers and kittens AAHSFGDSDFSU!!!
I hope you wear some knee highs, or bright white tights. when I grew in the 90's we wore tons of them.

OMGZZZ!!!111!!!11 You're like my long-lost twin best friend or sister or something.
I'm so into this girl power vibe.
Love those Miu Miu clogs!
i totally get what you mean about late 90's early 00's school supplies. All you need is peach body spray and a lavender purple bucket hat and you've nailed my 12th year of life. I like this kind of inspiration, no one else is doing it.
cool blog, love tackiness lol

These pictures look very appropriate next to that computerized portrait of you with the oversized bow. The combination creates an almost eerily nastolgic aesthetic, like a little girl from the 70's playing dress up in her older sibling's Camaro ... Barbie and Skipper in one hand, vinyl records in the other.
OMG!!
lovely Miu mIu clogs <33

so cute stuffs!
MIU MIU is always lovely :)

Hope you enjoy Valley of The Dolls. I find the characters haunting, even years after.

Spottie Dottie! That, and Lisa Frank were huge binder/trapper-keeper/pencil case staples from when I was little. Lisa Frank: talk about seizure inducing colors and patterns.
60's and flower power and pink will always remind me of Lillie Pulitzer. For some reason this tidbit of information has always stuck in my mind: When Lillie Pulitzer and her children set up a juice stand in California in the 60's, she made her daughters and herself matching outfits of big, bright flower patterned dresses so the juice stains wouldn't be so noticeable. Cuz, you know, she was an heiress and socialite already, and what's more quaint then setting up a juice stand for fun?
So cute! Those are great earmuffs.

Those earmuffs are UH-MAZING. Totally diging the pink dalmation lunchbox as well x
I love your moodboards. And I got one of your tees for christmas from my best friend. I can't wait to wear it! She bought it for me, not knowing it's been on my wishlist for about a year. How sweet, right?

Nice haul! I think those clogs will transition well from winter (indoor parties) to spring (streets).
Keep on rockin'.
I just got a new camera for Christmas and I'm so inspired to make a moodboard. I think my life might be ten times better if I get around to doing this. Thanks for the inspiration!
double happiness <3
Oh~! I have the same earmuffs! I bought that in Japan. (Im a Japanese.)
your lunchbox reminds me of my childhood
wow, for a moment I kinda felt like a Gremlin there (but then it's bright colours! bright colours! instead of bright lights!)
The picture of the girls with the braces makes me feel extremely happy for some sort of reason :P
I had that same barbie outfit. Thanks for giving me a sudden, unexpected, sharp snap of nostalgia!

My boss just watched Tom Ford's movie 'A Single Man' & it's next pon my list...after The Holidays have passed and my biochemistry is nice and solid, due to the suicide theme - but he tells me all the clothing, sets, & decor are impeccable and fantastic!!!
<3 <3 <3 Tom Ford...I keep thinking I'll run into him, since he has a house in my town...what would I do?
Awww, I used to have a Skipper doll and a Spottie Dottie school bag when I was a kid.....feeling nostalgic..
Oh so exuberant!
I much prefer this vibe :D
http://staringatthemoon.typepad.com/joeyb/
i absolutely love all the colors in this vibrant post!
Tavi, how did you get like this? Were you just born this way? Just wondering, love! Brilliant!
the colours and the whole 'vibe' of it just merges so well together.
OMFG, i know this comme des garcons photo! - it used to hang im my old orthodontists waiting room ._.
but without the "comme des garcons", of course.
never would have thought of that being possible ;D
My sidter has a vintage shirt that would look good in that mood board.
http://bensstylecorner.blogspot.com/
That is a great comme des garcons photo. It looks spontaneous, not posed - which we see so much of today. It's carefree and happy and goes well with your floral neo-retro theme.
great things! ♥ the colours!
wow, buffer overflow due to floral pattern abundance ^___^
seriously, it almost looks like a fractal. or as if it spread across the other items and ate their textures.
the colours evoke a mild mid-90s Raver feeling in me. looking too long at the earmuffs might cause caries ^__^
the glasses seem classy.
cute! very cheerful!xx

Very cute.
on a complete side note, you should read "kiki strike inside the shadow city". i feel like you could play the ubiquitous kiki, with her white hair, mysterious ways, and girl scout patches.
the clogs are to die for! I need them!
X
they are so cuuuutteee~ :3

Matel must have recycled that dress design because I totally had it when I was little. Except sans hat! Came out around the same time Clueless did.

Such gorgeous things! The colors are fun- I love anything hot pink.
this totally reminds me of playing dress up with friends during the late 90's. we were 11 year olds totally into those floral dresses and peace frog stickers. awesome.
i used to have that dress for my barbies!
Hey Tavi! Its me Caelan! and I first off wanted to tell you how
A) adorable you look in that wig, you match my sisters Blythe Doll (something you should look into purchasing they are the cutest dolls from japan) http://sasssquatch.blogspot.com/2010/12/fashion-spotlight-enchanted-petal.html
B) How excited I am that you checked out my blog (I was screaming...as dorky as that sounds)
C) I did a post about a shirt I bought from you, remember like a million years ago you made those give away clothes boxes, full of awesome clothing and accessories and I just thought I'd send you the link just so you know the clothing went to a good home
