"we don't want no old people dying all up in our boat"

What better day to finally post these months old collages of Fall inspiration than the day of our first snow? I have put off posting these because it meant figuring out all the photo sources and what not and that means sitting at this computer and moving my hand and occasionally tapping a button with my index finger and this is far too much work. LUCKY FOR YOU PEASANTS, I am in a good mood today. I KNOW, I KNOW.

Erm anyway
Oh and all runway photos are style.com unless otherwise noted.
fall inspiration
This one is about greens, browns and pinks. Sweaters, mixing of prints...carpet patterns and cat lady layers. Really good inspiration for wearing my new CdG jacket too (still so giddy about that.)
I can't remember the photo sources for a LOT of these so if you know please tell me so I can add it!
Clockwise from upper left corner: Joseph Cornell box, Sasha Pivovarova as an awesome bag lady, Prada SS08, Jessica Stam as an awesome bag lady in Pop (same ed my new header is from,) Miu Miu AW09, Anna Sui collection from 1994 via this MTV video, this editorial, that epic chick at FW with gold eyebrows via The Sartorialist, Japanese street style, Lynn Yaeger, that model that is literally a doll in some editorial involving sweaters, Marni SS10, Karlie Kloss by Craig McDean, Peter Jensen girls in the new Lula, weird sheep GIF, Tommy Ton for Style.com, more Miu Miu AW09, more Jessica Stam bag lady, more 1994 Anna Sui, Vivienne Westwood with somebody I should probably know about (edit: ohhh her HUSBAND! of course!), Taylor Tomasi on Jak and Jil, and another picture from the new Lula.

peacock
Blue, green, teal, turquoise, peacock...
L to R row by row starting at top: Prada SS08, Nicole Miller ss10, a picture I saw on Yui's blog, Hanneli, Katie Shillingford on Jak and Jil, ", can't remember what magazine this one is, his/her dressing in V Magazine, Miu Miu AW09, a 1994 Karl Lagerfeld collection from the MTV video previously linked, the bottom half of a photo on Jak and Jil, Drew Barrymore and Courtney Love, Leigh Lezark in an amazing peacock coat on Jak and Jil (this was what inspired the collage), amazing futuristic Tim Walker Vogue UK editorial, still from Alexander McQueen SS10, Kate Moss by Ryan McGinley, Jak and Jil, and Prada SS08.

Again, if you have any photo sources gimme gimme gimme! What's inspiring you at the moment? I really want to know. More to come when I'm not falling asleep. Night all.

Inspiration for me comes from magazines, the street (living in Copenhagen), old movies, royalty in earlier ages (baroque, renaissance etc..) nature, the clash between new buildings and old arcitecture..

Great collages! Have a good weekend!

But I`m from Austria and over

Great collages- I love tat particular Tim Walker shoot. He always does such mystical stuff. Have you seen the shoot he did in a grand manor house with a World War 2 plane inside? Lily Donaldson loked amazing in it. He is definitely one of my favourite photographers...
Love the first collage especially. Has a very playful, but still grown up chic feeling.
At the moment I've been inspired by many things. Autumn was one big influnce for me- all those gorgeous colours! I actually did a whole set of designs on that theme and posted it on my blog.
The other major influence is old films. Funny Face,My Fair Lady, High Society, Paris when it Sizzles etc...

Tavi,
you inspire me and i'm a middle aged suburban mom and wife. you have reminded me of the cdg outfit i wore to my after prom (with docs) in 1987. i am going to search for that kid i was and embrace her youthful enthusiasm again!
Keep it up Tavi, (and don't forget to do your homework.) ;)
