Since it's taken me weeks to recover from how amazing it was and I think I am just barely able to write about it now.
From an infinite abyss of a runway projected on a runway projected on a runway and so forth came an army of creatures with armadillos for feet and cheekbones in massive 3-D. Flooding out of the creatures’ sculptured dresses were underwater and earthy prints in an unnatural and slightly eerie symmetry. The way these dresses seemed to become one with the models and the alien claw shoes clung to the feet, it was as if the clothes were saying “take me with you!” in reference to a journey we can assume these creatures would soon embark on to another world, and to the journey of grasping new technology creatively which could be successfully led only by the minds of Nick Knight and Alexander McQueen.
I want to go there.

Ahhh. I will NEVER get over these shoes. I already love costumes and costume design....and am aiming to be a costume designer or something along the lines of design... O___________O So I was like "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my....GAWD." <3 So creative, it's sickening." I remeber I use to sketch up weird shoes when I was like..12-13? I always figured it was too weird for runway (I didn't know much about runway fashion..). NOW I wish I had gotten more into it at that age! D:<
Anyway--------I had made a post about McQueen's spring 2010...crazy shoes a while back but I didn't post many pictures...so yaaaay I'm happy to see many more O_O!

God that show was just amazing! Alexander McQueen never disappoints.
mcqueen and other designers (lagerfeld, galliano, etc.) are producing not just mere fashion shows, but rather whole theatrical events. its really quite amazing, the steps being taken in the fashion world today.

I too am still speechless about this collection and am so jealous of lady gaga for having the chance to wear it in her video. Things like this can only come from a mind of pure genius.

The overall look of the show scares me a little bit (I have a serious "thing" with aliens... "thing" meaning phobia) but some of the pieces are stunning. And who doesnt wish that those shoes were practical in everyday life? Just wait... someone will try to come out with something similar and completely fail. You can't copy greatness!

This collection was so good, I think lots of people were "ready" for it as well which is a plus for McQueen. Now they really need to release a high res version of the runway video!

AMAZING! The video of this is just incredible. If only I could of seen it all live. I had a love for McQueen before this show and now words cannot express how much I admire him. He is always so true to his art and never lets himself become too commercial. (check out my blog..I'm just getting started)
