This was my dream wishlist when I started blogging.
This is one I made a few hours ago.
Hmmmm. I'd say my style (or what I would like it to be) has changed quite a bit since I started blogging, no? Either that or I've just become way more of a label whore. As of now I guess there are a few items in the first list I wouldn't mind owning, but none I would spend money on (excluding the Holga, but that's a camera). The second list is obviously more intense and hectic (which could also be due in part to the fact that there are over twice as many items...I have become more greedy as well...), and every item from it makes my heart beat fast whenever I see them, to a point where I am almost sure I'm having a heart attack and really regretting all those shady, questionable gas store brand "Cheese Puffs" and poser Oreos I've eaten in the past. It kind of amuses me how in April I was lusting over skinny jeans as much as I am now lusting over frilly Betty Jackson Dr. Martens and Gareth Pugh spacesuits. I think the explanation is simply that blogging makes one explore fashion more, and with exploration comes the discovery of tons of inspiration from multiple sources-magazines, the blog community, designers, etc. I don't think I'll stop exploring any time soon, either...maybe in another 9 months I'll be wishing for some kind of wearable grocery store.
...Actually, I would like one now please. Greatthanksssss.

Wow how contrasted your style is today from what it was... Another reason why blogging is so great, you can compare and look back... although I do agree, blogs and the internet in general is dangerous when separating 'wants' and 'needs'!
Love the 'God Save McQueen' sweater and the great little floral dress... cool wishlists!
is wonderful to see the the style changes..
you are right that blogs might confuse and temp to in different directions.
I do actually enjoy more your second wish list.. loe the miu miu dress
xx
I definitely find myself lusting after a completely aesthetic of clothes month to month... this is why I've sworn never to get a tattoo... my tastes change so much I would hate it in a week.
oh wow thats amazing........is it me or did all the color in your life just go away hahaha
When I first started blogging, I thought black was so boring. Now I love love love it, and I feel very qualified to do so since I'm a New Yorker.
when i first like fashion the only name i knew as Marc Jacobs. and that weird guy with white hair and sunglasses that worked for Chanel...
basically i knew shit.
then i discovered the interwebz. and i was a little obsessed...okay, maybe REALLY OBSESSED. suddenly i knew all the models and i wanted to be Katie Grand instead of Anna Wintour. it's amazing how the internet changed my tastes. especially other bloggers! i don't think you realize how much you influence people with your style Tavi. you ooze a confidence that women try to search for their whole life, and you have it at your age!
Always great to take a look back and see how much your style has grown or changed etccccc......
iHeart the new wishlist ya? list your picks in detail!
xxxxooooo,
gastrogirls.com
that first list looks nothing like you! I would have never guessed.
and oh god that miu miu dress is STILL like my favorite thing everrrr.
oh my god dude, i swear that was my wish list when i made it last night. I still have it saved! fuck you for having the same exact taste as me!
xD
i started our blog in april and i've probably come a long way too. i agree about blogging making you explore more...being passionate about something really makes you learn it well. those rick owens wedge boots make me have mini heart attacks too.
i hear you tavi.
this is exactly what being a kid is about. exploring with fashion, wearing crazy stuff and get away with it. finding your style.
being twelve rocks.
xx
I kind of want a wearable grocery store too. You are such a smart cookie. And not a poser oreo, either.
I guess the way we dress evolves just like the way we blog, the more we explore fashion, the more we change.
Story of my life. Since I've started reading blogs, my taste has gotten considerably more expensive.
I LOVE that miu miu mini dress. I wish I could have it. and those raf simons high tops. and okay, anything by rick owens. and that jil sander dress.
okay, so your wish list looks suspiciously like mine. i'm going to stop rambling now.
there has to be some insomnia bug going on, i have suffered it too a long time!!
One look like a lolita skirt. Cute.
You are fabulous.
Isn't it interesting how style evolves? I've often thought of taking photos of my outfits everyday for a year just to see my favorites come and go out of rotation. But I'm a tad too lazy for that...
I must say, if I had a list "now and then" like yours, it'd pretty much be the same thing. ESPECIALLY the Rick Owens jacket -- most. covetted. thing. EVER.
i have those pink skinny jeans from urban outfitters, in your first list. they literally glow in the dark. i wore them on halloween because i went to a party dressed as a flamingo. i'll never wear them again. onward and outward from the ankle.
i just happen to have two very similar things in my give away pile.
i haven't ever commented before, but after seeing your wishlist i decided i should. if you want them they are yours.
I love Polyvore. I can fantasize about having outifts my mom would never let me outside of the house in and clothes I could never afford. Here are some links to my outfits. As you can see, i love Fendi, Sonia Rykiel, Marc Jacobs, and Chloe. If you want to, comment please! Disregard the abercrombie ones!
