Proof you don't need the setting of an enchanted forest or abandoned haunted house for an editorial to be amazing. A plain background and jumping models has never been done so well (yes, I am talking about YOU, Anna Wintour. You and US Vogue.)

Sorry guys. Times a billion. That was pretty hectic, non? Eventually we all ended up chatting on Meebo, and I couldn't figure out how to embed it on to the blog...bad planning on my part. Maybe Belle and I will just video chat by ourselves and I'll tape it with my Canon or something. Thanks for hanging in there. Allow these epic Nick Knight shots to ease your anger:

Anna Wintour should seriously listen. Though these models don't really look human because of the angles/posing/clothes dwarfing them (in some, not all pics.)
GOD, I AM SO ANGRY TAVI.
I'M BUBBLING WITH ANGER.
haha.
these pictures are soooo nice.
'Twas fun, the little I did get to see! Never been in a blogger chat before.
Wow, those shots are pretty amazing. I love how it's all leg too!
that is not the best photoshoot in the magazine. The Tim Walkers one will blow your mind.
it was still pretty eventful tavi.. what with the fake karl and all.
those shots are very epic.. and i hate those vogue shoots with just the gray background and jumping models xD
Aww it was fun anyways, Tavi :]. And I really really like the structuralism of this,
The chat was really interesting and fun:)
it was a pretty good chat, even if i arrived a bit late
WHERE IS THIS EDITORIAL!? and why don't i own it?
try oovoo next time, its great quality
hey there chica! nick knight does kick arse, doesn't he...the complexity in the colors and positioning of each shot. hope you had a wonderful holiday. cheers!
wow. i wonder how epic. cos i failed to stay up at 2 am to watch you!!
please post it here!
Whoa Tavi! Where did you get those pics at? They look really cool/interesting/pretty/etc! Please tell me!
<3 Sarah
this whole issue was amazing. It's British Vogue, for those wondering
It was fun. Thanks for inviting us!
I'm a little sad 'cause the chat was supposed to be scheduled 3 am my time, and I was watching you guys try to figure the tokbox thing out. Then when I heard you were doing a group chat instead, I made an AIM account and downloaded AIM messenger for Mac (but it failed) so somebody suggested that I use iChat, and it worked, but I waited until I got an invite. I didn't though :( I also tried meebo and couldn't get in. Eventually I fell asleep at 5 about 5:00 am. :( I really wanted to ask some questions and read both of your answers :( Ahwell. Hope it was all good for you guys!
Wow I woke up at 5:00am bugger
but its still the computers fault damn digital revolution
hey, i was reading your profile and you mentioned you're into bluegrass. could you recommend some musicians? thanks
Tavi! Em and I had so much fun in the midst of all the video-blogging/AIM mayhem :D
These pictures are stunning times ten.
those pictures are nice. the shoes are extreme.
wow
very very beautiful clothes
:D
oh TAVI et al. have you seen the VIDEO?
I posted it in Nov on my blog:

it's even more wonderful when it's moving.
wow i like all the editorials.. erm what do u mean here? i dont really get it.. coz i'm mistaken between sarcasm and the real thing. The jumping models really does make the editorial looks more amazing :D with plain background, if the outfit and the energy meets the aim of the photoshoot, the photos should come out well then :) :)
I've always love such photoshoots, it attracts your attention and though you wouldn't want (but wish) to wear these out in public, you can always appreciate them from magazines and stuff. These keeps me away from the busy schedule of school and stuff. Love it. (:
Haha that chat was majorly confusing. But amusing.
This shoot is pretty epic. But I still would have preferred it outside.
those clothes and the shoot in general is pretty crazy. love it
I don't get it...why would anyone ever want to wear the clothes in those pictures?? They just look ugly and impractical.
It's not just clothing, it's inspiration. It's art.
Lovely editorial.
I wasn't able to watch anyway so I think the idea of recording one is splendid.
Might I be able to link you on my blog?
anna: have you gotten your eyes checked?
these pictures are awesome!
their legs look scary long
I had your blog to my blogroll. Just to inform you :)
Keep going, I love your work !

i agree, the chat was fun even though it was super hectic and quite confusing at times haha. better luck next time though, eh? :)

Loving the shapes and patterns on the editorial! Epic indeed.
I posted the some these pictures recently too!
I would want to be married in the white origami dress
The chat was pretty confusing but I think we will record a video conference.
harleen atica-I was saying that finally jumping models and a plain backdrop is done right, since US Vogue does it quite a lot but it never looks good.
Anna-Not everyone shares the same preference as you do, and the point of avant garde is that it's more for inspiration than actually wearing. Though if I owned one of these babies I'd totallyyyyy want to show it off...
belle-Mmm, her pedo glasses seem to be doing no good.
Oh wow those wolford tights are awesome! and so is that models hair!
You should have taken screenies, that way you could have posted it up on your blog...
wow...that is fantastic
Muppets! Muppet fashion! I think I just created an idea for Adult Swim - copyright! copyright!
Anon-They are up there, though I'm not the one that scanned them as I don't have a scanner and got them off another site.
E-LOLOL
Please visit this link. I swear you won't be disappointed.
I was inspired to look at avant garde hair after looking at these photographs (which I LOVE) and this came up.

Needless to say. The hair hats were incomprehensibly cool.
seeeriously one of my favorite recent editorials! i knew it was a good one when the first image i saw was the one with the hussien chalayan table turn skirt from a 90s collection.... all my favorite designs clothes from old collection shown in all their editorial glory... so glad to see these scans again!!! thanks!
wow... totally leigh bowery inspired, it seems... you do know leigh bowery, right?
of course you do.
